The space between the bars is 2.5 inches and the gate door is 16 inches wide.

Before installation, please note that the gate may appear bent and there may be a gap at the handle, but these concerns will be eliminated once the gate is properly installed in your doorway. Make sure to measure your opening prior to purchase to ensure a proper fit. The gate frame should be assembled at all times.

In the box, you will find the Regalo Easy Step Baby Gate, an instruction manual, a 6-inch extension kit, four pressure-mounted spindle rods, and four wall cups with screws. The gate expands to fit openings between 29-34 and 35-38.5 inches wide and stands 30 inches tall. Be sure to measure your opening before purchase to ensure a proper fit. Note: an additional 4” extension is needed for openings between 34-35 inches.

Installation should be done according to the manufacturer’s instructions using the included wall cups to secure the gate in place. Remember to never use the gate at the top of stairs to prevent falls.

The gate is adjustable with the 6-inch extension kit and 4 pressure mount spindle rods, making it perfect for doorways, hallways, and the bottom of stairs. It can be quickly removed for easy storage and additional extensions are sold separately.
